The Challenge

Discovery work found Fraud agents weren’t getting time to practice and hone scam spotting skills. Practice needs two, resource that was hard to spare. Less practice limited initiative, innovation and experimentation in the Fraud Team's front-line defence.

The Solution

A Gen AI powered role play tool was designed and built at low cost, and trained using proven Behaviour Science techniques. Gen AI plays the scammed customer. Agents can converse like normal to ask questions, practice skills and spot the scams. The tool gives feedback on performance, and advice on tactics to try.

The Future

AI Agents are playing a growing role as the first-line of defence in Fraud. This tool also worked in reverse. It could play the Agent too. Customer-facing, Agentic AI Chatbots is now one of my biggest areas of work and research.
